Reviews & Badges Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Reviews and badges help people choose with confidence, so they have to be honest. This policy explains who can leave a review, what we remove, and exactly what each badge on Sumerzé means and does not mean. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Who can leave a review

Only a customer who booked and paid through Sumerzé can review that provider, and only after the booking is marked completed. • One review per completed booking. • Reviews can be left within 14 days of the booking being completed. • A review is a rating from 1 to 5 stars, with optional written comments and one optional photo of the service or result. The photo is shown with the review on the provider's profile; photos of other people without their permission, personal information, or anything against the Community Guidelines can be removed. Because every review is tied to a real, completed booking, we do not accept reviews from anyone else.

2. What is not allowed

• Fake reviews, or reviews written by the provider, their friends, family, employees, or anyone with a personal or financial interest. • Offering or accepting anything of value (money, discounts, free services, gifts) in exchange for a review, or for changing or removing one. • Asking only happy customers to review ("review gating"), or pressuring or threatening a customer about their review. • Retaliating against a customer for an honest review. • Reviews with personal information, hate speech, threats, or content unrelated to the service. Violations can lead to review removal, loss of badges, and account suspension.

3. How we moderate

We do not edit reviews, and we do not remove a review because it is negative. We remove a review only if it breaks this policy, our Community Guidelines, or the law. To report a review, use the report option in the app or email report@sumerze.com. A provider's average rating is calculated from all of their reviews, and the number of reviews is always shown next to it.

4. Sumerzé Verified

The provider completed a one-time identity check: a government-issued ID and a selfie, checked by our partner Stripe Identity. The provider pays a one-time fee for the check; the fee pays for the check, not for the result, and the badge is granted only if the check succeeds. What it means: the person behind the profile is who they say they are. What it does not mean: it is not a background check, and it does not confirm licenses, insurance, skills, or quality. It is not an endorsement by Sumerzé.

5. Top Rated

Shown automatically when a provider has an average rating of 4.5 stars or higher across at least 3 reviews. It cannot be bought.

6. Sello Sumerzé

Awarded automatically, checked on the 1st of each month, to providers who meet all five requirements: • ID verified (Sumerzé Verified). • Replies to at least 90% of first messages within 24 hours (last 3 months). • No cancellations of confirmed bookings by the provider (last 3 months). • At least one returning customer (a customer with 2 or more completed bookings with them). • At least 5 completed bookings. If a provider stops meeting a requirement, the Sello is removed at the next monthly check and comes back when they meet all five again. Providers can see their progress anytime in the app (Panel → Sello Sumerzé). Providers with the Sello may appear above similar providers in search. Not having it never pushes a provider down. It cannot be bought, and Sumerzé Pro does not affect it.

7. Sumerzé Pro and the Featured tab

Sumerzé Pro is a paid subscription for providers. Pro providers may appear in the Featured tab of the Discover feed, which is labeled in the app as paid placement. To appear there, a provider must have a rating of 4.0 or higher, or no reviews yet. The order rotates and is not a recommendation by Sumerzé. Pro does not affect reviews, ratings, Top Rated, Sello Sumerzé, or Verified.

8. Customer loyalty tiers

Customers earn tiers from completed bookings: Neighbor (1–4), Regular (5–14), and Local Legend (15 or more). Providers see the tier on incoming requests. Tiers only count completed bookings; a customer with 3 or more no-shows does not show a loyalty tier. Tiers cannot be bought.

9. Questions

Email support@sumerze.com. To report a review or a badge you believe is misleading, email report@sumerze.com.
